Central Maine Community College Wednesday, October 24, 2012 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Cost: $89 (includes materials) Room 107 Kirk Hall Registration Deadline: Wednesday, October 17 Registration at: Workplace Delegation
The skill of delegating is essential in the workplace, but it often is done poorly, and people don’t seem to realize it’s not that difficult to do it well. When a person can effectively assign a responsibility to someone else, and that person can benefit from successfully carrying it out, both of them and the whole organization benefit. So how do you do it? The practice of delegation is composed of common-sense skills from project management, communication, supervision and negotiation. The process and the actions required are known to us, but we often haven’t put them together in the particular context that makes delegation work properly. This workshop provides information, discussion and practice in becoming more competent at this important skill.
